10:30pm That will be all from us for tonight. Hope you enjoyed our coverage. Until next time, this is goodbye from me, Binoy and everyone else at ESPNcricinfo. Take care!

Faf du Plessis, the Joburg Super Kings captain is also the Player of the Match: (On the long rain delay) We knew we still had a bit of time left so we were optimistic. But there was a point where it felt it was slipping away. Grateful to get the opportunity to get this game in. (On the bowling display before the rain) It was brilliant. We saw there was a bit of extra bounce. If you hit that length, it was carrying through nicely, and on other occasions, it was holding. Of course, that changed after the rain delay. Tough over to bowl for David Wiese. Leus set the tone really well for us. Takes a brave man to hit his first ball for a lap. His gameplan is really suited to these conditions. He also used his feet to counter the bowlers and he is maturing really well. We felt the left-right combination, especially with Linde in their side, would work for us and it worked really well. The tricky part with not having played cricket is that you are looking for rhythm. I am a big rhythm player. Still taking a bit of time to kick in (after the operation). I knew it would take just one innings. Took me a bit longer than I would have liked. In the previous game, it felt like it was coming back. Glad I could do that tonight. (Change in morale in the dressing room) Tonight is huge, especially the way we did it - to win with the bonus point - and to tell the rest of the competition that we are not going anywhere.

Kieron Pollard, MI Cape Town captain: (On the discussions during the rain delay) We had to maximise the last two overs. These things happen, we have no control over it. It was a good wicket, there was a big side and a small side. Congratulations to them, they batted really well. We were out of the game after 3-4 overs. We could have tried to take it deeper but it is what it is. Well played to Joburg. (What they need to change) What must change is to have a W at the end of the game. We take this one on the chin and have to regroup.

10:06pm Well, that was fun. That is perhaps the only way to describe this six-hitting shootout. MI Cape Town, once their innings had ended, seemed in a decent position, only for them to be completely blown out of the water by du Plooy and du Plessis. 36 runs came off the two-over powerplay and that set the tone. In the end, JSK did it at a canter, and they will take lots of confidence from the way they batted. And while this was only an eight-over innings, the fearlessness they showed could be a template they use for the rest of the tournament.

Not quite the result MICT were after, although they will probably look back at this game as one that could have gone any way, given how short it was. Nevertheless, their inability to create opportunities with the ball will lead to some head-scratching. They tried to slow the game down too - at times, to du Plessis' annoyance but they were so far behind in the game that it did not matter in the grander scheme.

MICT now have two games lined up against the Pretoria Capitals, and they simply must win both of them to stand any chance of qualifying. JSK, meanwhile, have zinged up to fourth, and they will feel they have a genuine shot at qualifying.

1w
Pollard to du Plooy, 1 wide

what an anti-climactic end! JSK win with a bonus point and leap up to fourth spot! Full and well beyond the tramlines on the off side. du Plooy let it go and the umpire had no hesitation in calling it a wide. What a thumping win for JSK, chasing down 98 inside six overs and with all of their wickets intact!

Scores level. Can du Plooy finish it this ball?

5.4
1
Pollard to du Plessis, 1 run

another short ball on off stump. du Plessis rolls his wrists nicely and helps it towards deep backward square leg. Brings up a 20-ball fifty, just when his team needed it!

5.3
Pollard to du Plessis, no run

dug into the track outside off. du Plessis gauges the length early and ducks underneath it

5.2
4
Pollard to du Plessis, FOUR runs

shot! Slower ball dug into the track outside off. Sits up and du Plessis gets his hands through the ball beautifully, caressing it past extra cover for four!

JSK one hit away from a bonus-point victory

5.1
2
Pollard to du Plessis, 2 runs

slower ball on a back of a length outside off. du Plessis bunts it to the edge of the ring in the mid wicket region and canters back for a brace

And with that, we will definitely have a result. And unless something dramatic happens, it looks like it will be a JSK win

Sam Curran to du Plessis, 1 run

slower ball on a full length outside off. du Plessis eases it out to deep extra cover and retains strike

Sam Curran to du Plooy, 1 run

top yorker on off stump. du Plooy digs it out towards long on and both batters are content with a single

4.5
1w
Sam Curran to du Plooy, 1 wide

banged into the track on off stump. Balloons over the batter's head and called a wide. Not the worst ball to bowl if MICT want to stretch out the game, just saying...

4.4
1
Sam Curran to du Plessis, 1 run

full and angled across the batter outside off. du Plessis reaches out and drives it towards deep extra cover

The rain seems to have gotten steadier. Three more balls need to be bowled to constitute a game. Words being exchanged between the two skippers and the umpire. The ground staff in readiness on the fence. This is proper box-office

4.3
1
Sam Curran to du Plooy, 1 run

leg-stump yorker nailed to perfection. du Plooy tucks it off his toes towards deep mid wicket

regal! Length just outside off. du Plooy dances down the track and pounds it over mid off. Goes all the way too!

Five more balls and we will have constituted a game

Rabada to du Plessis, no run

excellent yorker on middle and off. du Plessis gets his bat down in time and keeps it out

Seems like du Plessis and du Plooy have smashed this ball out of shape. The umpires not happy with the current condition and the fourth umpire comes out with a set of replacements. The drizzle returns too, adding to the drama

3.5
6
Rabada to du Plessis, SIX runs

have some of that! Right in the slot outside off and du Plessis is seeing it like a football now. Opens up his stance and launches it over long off!

into the blockhole on leg stump. du Plessis digs it out towards deep mid wicket and both batters have enough time to dash back for the second

Just 29 needed off 27 balls now. Another mini MICT conference, this time involving Pollard, Rabada and Livingstone

3.3
4
Rabada to du Plessis, FOUR runs

this is awesome batting! Low full toss honing in on off stump. du Plessis gets his front foot out of the way and drives through the line, threading it between extra cover and mid off!

3.2
4
Rabada to du Plessis, FOUR runs

back to back boundaries! Banged in short outside off, and du Plessis, having played the scoop the last ball, has telegraphed this. Gives himself room and glides it over backward point

3.1
4
Rabada to du Plessis, FOUR runs

bread and butter for du Plessis! Fired in full just outside off. du Plessis shapes up for the scoop early and nails it, getting it comfortably over short fine leg!

And now Rabada pulls out of his run-up at the very last moment. du Plessis is not pleased, and rightly so

Okay, the rain is coming down again. The umpires are staying out for now. Rabada to bowl. Pollard and MICT taking an awful long time to get this over going

Linde to du Plessis, 3 runs

short outside off. du Plessis goes back and laces his cut towards deep extra cover. Brevis comes haring in and misfields in the process. Slips thereafter and pulls it back into play, just in time

The rain, by the way, seems to have stopped, according to the commentators on air
