Phillips finishes it off with a six. It seems like the blow has hit someone in the grass banks. GP immediately rushes there to check on him/her. Pitched-up delivery outside off, possibly a slower one, Phillips lines it up and thumps it over long-on with a free swing of the bat
New Zealand vs Bangladesh, 3rd Match at Christchurch, T20I Tri-Series, Oct 09 2022 - Match Result
New Zealand won by 8 wickets (with 13 balls remaining)
Bracewell, Player of the Match: I was able to hit my length. I think having the experience of bowling to our players at the nets has been hugely beneficial. We have a tight group of spinners and I have been picking their brains for the last few months. I got the figures but Ish bowled really well. I still pride myself on my batting' whenever I can contribute and whatever the team wants me to do, I want to do it.
Shakib: Yes, with the used wicket the NZ spinners bowled well. We started well but we couldn't handle their quality spinners and we never got any momentum. We have been talking about this - the top three has to put hand up and bat till 15-16 overs. Hopefully, we will bowl with dry ball in day games. I was supposed to bat up but two spinners were bowling and we wanted to have a left-right combination. Batting is one area we need to improve and will keep on working on it. It is hard to keep energy up when you lose two games, but the World Cup coming up the next two games will be crucial for us.
Williamson: I think Bangladesh played nicely in the powerplay. We worked hard and pulled it back with the spin outside the powerplay. It was huge in keeping them to a below-par total. Obviously, it's horses for courses and having no pace on the ball was difficult. Good performance from last night. Ish has been amazing for us for a long period and he is an aggressive option. He has won a lot of matches for us with his 100 wickets and hopefully more coming up. Yeah a little bit (concerned by injuries in the camp?) and few guys with a few bits and pieces. Managing the guys is at the back of our mind.
NZC on fan who was hit by GP's six: "The 12-year-old girl was struck by the ball just above the eye. She is lucid and has been assessed by doctors at the ground. She will now go to hospital for further checks."
After an untidy effort against Pakistan on Saturday, New Zealand have bounced back to brush aside Bangladesh. After Bracewell and Sodhi set the game up for New Zealand with the ball, Conway steered their chase of 138 with a steady 70 off 51 balls. He cranked up the tempo towards the end and sewed up the win along with Phillips.
That's all she wrote for today. Thanks for tuning in. Until next time, this is Deivarayan Muthu signing off on the behalf of Ankur Dhawan and Thilak Ram. Cheers

short and angling into off from round the wicket, whisked wide of mid-on
Reshad : "Strange bowling strategy by BD. They kept bowling on pads and leg stump line even after conceding extra runs. "
short and into the body, Phillips fends at it and almost drags it back onto his own stumps. Conway calls him through for a speedy single
overpitched and wide of off, drilled away through extra-cover this time, cut off with a slide in the outfield
back of a length and slanting into middle, Conway gets right behind the line and defends to cover
overpitched and on middle, Conway shows the full face of the bat and belts it straight past Taskin with a high elbow. So easy on the eye
Yushey Al Tusi : "As a Bangladeshi cricket fan since 2012, I am still backing them to win this match, maybe take out Conway and create pressure. Too optimistic? Perhaps."

chipped to Taskin at mid-on. Reward for Hasan Mahmud. Back of a length and on middle, stops on Williamson and messes with his timing. He aims to drive it over the infielder but ends up spooning it to him
