Titans were set to take on Cobras in the final of the Momentum One-Day Cup for the second consecutive year after a comfortable 58-run win against Dolphins in Durban.
Dean Elgar and David Wise starred with the bat, playing contrasting innings that led Titans to a strong total on a challenging pitch. Opting to bat, Titans were in early trouble at 8 for 2 but Elgar led the revival along with Jacques Rudolph. The two added 78 for the third wicket before Rudolph was dismissed. Elgar continued to graft, reaching his half-century off 76 balls and went on to complete his third List A century in the last over of the innings.
However, it was Wiese's innings that boosted Titans' late surge. He struck five fours and five sixes in an unbeaten 33-ball 71 that helped Titans rack up 109 runs in the last 10 overs.
Dolphins suffered early blows in their chase and were reduced 52 for 4 in the 14th over. With Juan de Villiers, Albie Morkel and Junior Dala making regular strikes, Dolphins did not recover from the start and were bowled out in the 45th over.
The final is scheduled to be played on Friday, February 13 in Cape Town.
