a googly on the stumps, a length ball, Pollard backs away and works it towards deep midwicket, and the batsmen come back for the second. That's victory and a berth in the qualifers
MI vs SRH, 51st Match at Mumbai, IPL, May 02 2019 - Ball by Ball Commentary
Match tied (MI won the one-over eliminator)
That's all from our side for this game. And if you missed any of the action, you can catch it here with our experts:
Bumrah: Sometimes the mind can get too negative but I keep to maintain clarity, try to keep it as simple as possible. There is always pressure but you don't try to think about the pressure. I focus on one ball at a time. In the end, it's your own decision and that's the best way to go. Backing myself has always helped me.
Bumrah is the Man of the Match.
Rohit: We are rewarded for some real hard work we have put in throughout the tournament. We played consistent cricket and have the results for it. We were very clear in the mind that we wanted to bat first and put runs on the board. Runs on the board is always nice, that's what I feel and that's what the team believed. We knew if we get early wickets, we can put some pressure on them. But Manish batted really well. Eight overs by the spinners were really crucial. Bumrah has been brilliant for us. He keeps improving and he is hungry for more. He is a lead bowler for us and he held the nerve during those two overs and the Super Over as well. Quinny has been really good for us but we need help from the other batters. Confidence is there but we need to understand what the par scores are at different venues.
12.20pm Time for the presentation ceremony.
Lakshman Kumar: "So Mumbai wins the toss, elects to bat first but ends up winning the match chasing a total..!! "
Krunal: Quite happy with the result. It feels good when the team wins and you contribute. It doesn't make any difference whether you bat first or second here. But we knew we had to bowl well. Powerplay didn't go well for us but Bumrah's two wickets were crucial. When I was bowling I was trying to vary the pace. [On Rohit for the Super over] It was quite evident that Hardik and Pollard for going for the Super Over, so there was no debate over there (laughs).
Williamson: A fantastic effort to get so close from Manish and the lower order. It was a pretty good first half but we couldn't get over the line. Rashid is world class and we thought he was our man. When it gets down to the last ball, it's a shame. But there is a game left.
12.05 And it took just three balls for Mumbai to knock the required runs. They become the third team after Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals to make it to the qualifiers
length ball on the stumps, Hardik does the wise thing and tucks it toward square leg for a single
fuller around off, and Pandya frees his arm, goes straight and for a six, on the right of the long-off fielder
12:02am As expected, it's Rashid Khan to bowl for Sunrisers.
Hardik and Pollard come out for Mumbai. Rashid has got great numbers against these two
And Sunrisers fail to last six balls and manage just eight.
and Bumrah cleans him up. Almost in the slot there, Nabi clears his front leg and looks to go over long-on, except he misses and the ball crashes into the leg stump
Bumrah goes short, Nabi goes for a pull, gets a top edge. There was a deep square leg in place but it sails over the fielder for a six
Nabi to face
a full toss from Bumrah but all Guptill can do is push it down the ground for a single
Martin Guptill is the new batsman
fuller and wider outside off, Pandey reaches out for it and steers it towards sweeper cover, they are going for the second but Pandey is struggling there and the throw is accurate. De Kock whips off the bails to find Pandey short
11.50pm So here we go. Bumrah to bowl for Mumbai. Pandey and Nabi walk in for Sunrisers. Malinga is in the dugout.
