the last ball runs away for a streaky four, a short delivery takes a top edge to hum over the keeper, that doesn't matter though, Chennai have won by 18 runs to keep the fight for places in the points table very tight
CSK vs Daredevils, 26th match at Johannesburg, IPL, May 02 2009 - Match Result
Chennai's win means the top seven teams are now separated only by two points. Dhoni will be pleased with the performance of the Indian bowlers in his side, Tyagi started the slide with two big wickets in two balls, and Shadab Jakati had a dream spell, the highlight of which was the ripper to get rid of the man in form, Tillakaratne Dilshan.
For Delhi, David Warner showed off his ability at the top of the order, giving the team management a headache as to how to fit him in the side when Sehwag returns. Dinesh Karthik was also in great touch, displaying superb footwork and constantly improvising throughout his innings. It's Delhi's second loss of the tournament, and they miss a chance to open up a lead at the top.
Post-match ceremony: Gambhir says the total was chase-able, and praises Chennai's fielding and bowling. He also calls Warner's batting "fantastic".
Dhoni says Badrinath and Raina were superb but is disappointed that none of he, Oram and Morkel could push the total higher. He says that even when Warner and Karthik were blazing away, it was a matter of taking one wicket to put the pressure back on Delhi.
Shadab Jakati is the Man of the Match. He says he's been working hard with Venkatesh Prasad in the nets, and that he was waiting for his chance. He says he was just looking to vary his pace and stick to a wicket-to-wicket line as the pitch was offering him support.
Thanks for joining us for today's game, there's a double-header tomorrow as well, see you then.

Not very costly at all it turns out as Karthik holes out off the very next ball, a sweep from Karthik gets a top edge and it hovers to Murali at midwicket, who makes no misjudgment. Murali knows it's a big wicket, he jumping around for joy after taking the catch
How costly will that misjudgement be?
