Marsh collects the Chappell-Hadlee trophy and celebrates with his team-mates. That's all we have for you from this T20I series. Many thanks for your company and comments. Until next time, this is Deivarayan Muthu signing off on the behalf on P Ranjith. Take care and cheers.

Matthew Wade, Australia captain: Strange game with rain on and off. Trying to make use of the shorter boundaries here. No matter where it is, it is such a strong squad and unreal to be with the boys here. Grateful to play with the guys. Nice as a batter [at Eden Park] but nervous when we bowled. But one of the most clinical performances and Short is exciting for the future. Everyone knows the World Cup is coming in and we had a look at the guys - Short, Ellis - and picking that 15 for the World Cup. A lot of credit goes to the support staff and this venue isn't a happy hunting ground for bowlers and it definitely swung around for what's longer in a T20.

Mitch Santner: They're a quality side, their quicks and the power they possess. The first one was a close one and we kind of got outplayed in the last two. We showed some good stuff throughout the series but the powerplay is hard to bowl here. Dropped catches never help. I think the depth in the squad is good and if those guys come back in, hard for these guys to be in. But there might be slower pitches in the World Cup. Some good stuff and bad stuff; that's cricket.

Mitch Marsh, Player of the Series: Nice to contribute to a winning team and that's what we ask for our guys. To win 3-0 is fantastic for our bowlers. It's not added pressure - it's added responsibility. The other leaders in the group make our job easy and it's a great bunch. Any series win for your country is fantastic. I'm proud and a big year leading into the World Cup. Spencer Johnson...and everyone grabbing their opportunity. Probably David Warner before he got injured and Maxi (who is the best golfer in the side?)

Abinash: "Starc, Johnson, Ellis, Hazlewood, Cummins. That's stacked with some quality bowlers there"

Tighthead: "Ferguson and Sears are the only players who can hold their heads high across the series. The NZ batsmen were not good enough with no consistency shown. The fielding was horrendous. Enough said......"

Jay: "Other than Phillips and Allen this NZ XI lacks clean hitters. Also bowling first hasn't been a right call for the last two games."

4.50pm So a DLS win by 27 runs helps Australia clean sweep New Zealand 3-0. It was always a mountain to climb for the hosts the moment they needed a revised 126 in just ten overs, and despite the threat of Allen, Phillips and co - and the shorter boundaries around - they fell well short. Good result for Australia in what is their final series before the T20 World Cup, though. NZ will rue the dropped chances. Hang around for the presentation formalities before Australia lift the T20 Chappell-Hadlee Trophy.

MW Short to Chapman, FOUR runs

a four to end, but New Zealand fall well short. Full and flat outside leg, as this went on with the angle, with the inside edge taking the ball past Wade

9.5
2
MW Short to Chapman, 2 runs

yorker on middle, and squeezed out to wide long-off. Smith lets the ball come on to him while standing on the edge of the rope, because it hardly matters

9.4
1
MW Short to Phillips, 1 run

low full toss dipping on middle and leg at 104kph, and pushed to long-on

9.3
1
MW Short to Chapman, 1 run

swiped to a very straightish long-on, as this is a fullish ball just outside off, which hints to turn away

Stays around to Chapman

9.2
1
MW Short to Phillips, 1 run

this is a flat yorker-length ball on the stumps, which is chipped towards long-on

9.1
6
MW Short to Phillips, SIX runs

six down the ground! Short bowled full and wide of off, as this one went on with the arm. Phillips stood his ground, and flat-batted it back

Short will bowl the last over from around the wicket. Some entertainment on the way, probably.

Ellis to Phillips, 1 run

ahh, superb bowling! He executes a yorker on middle, which Phillips can only get off the toe end of the bat to square leg

8.5
4
Ellis to Phillips, FOUR runs

swiped to short fine leg's left! Length ball angling in and coming on to him on middle and leg, as Phillips just swung his bat to dispatch that to the shorter side

Nitish: "Is Short going to bowl the last over? Not ideal..." --- I'm sure he can defend 36...

8.4
1b
Ellis to Chapman, 1 bye

another bye. They pinch the run, as Chapman missed another full and wide ball outside off, and Phillips took off in a hurry

8.3
1
Ellis to Phillips, 1 run

low full toss on off - perhaps an attempted yorker - as Phillips can only dig it out to long-on

8.2
1b
Ellis to Chapman, 1 bye

they run a bye, but it hardly matters now. Ellis bowled a slower delivery, and on a short of a length on off. Chapman looked to pull but missed, and Phillips was already in at the keeper's hand by the time Wade threw it back

8.1
Ellis to Chapman, no run

fullish length, and angling across to finish on sixth stump, as Chapman looked to loft but missed

Ellis returns

Starc to Phillips, FOUR runs

lofted over mid-off! But New Zealand are all but done. This time Starc switches over to go with the yorker on off, as Phillips launches it from deep in the crease and with his front leg out of the way

7.5
Starc to Phillips, no run

wow, superb take by Wade! He leapt up with his left glove dangling, and collected it, as this short ball on middle and off at 142kph took off, with Phillips missing his pull

7.4
Starc to Phillips, no run

and Phillips' play and miss continues. He attempts to slash this far away from his body, without any foot movement, as the ball is fullish and angling across to finish a bit wide of off

7.3
1lb
Starc to Chapman, 1 leg bye

ahh, lovely bowling! Starc fires a yorker on middle and leg at 139kph, as it pings Chapman low on his back leg while he looked to hoick. The ball trickles towards the leg side

7.2
Starc to Chapman, no run

fuller side of a length, and angling in to hit his front pad on leg, as Chapman missed out on an attempted swing for the leg side

7.1
4
Starc to Chapman, FOUR runs

sliced to deep third! Terrific shot, as he waited for this yorker around off to arrive, and opened the face of the bat pretty late to beat short third to his left by playing from deep in the crease

Johnson to Chapman, 1 run

this goes on the bounce to deep midwicket, as Johnson keeps going short. This is bowled around off, as Chapman gets his front leg out of the way and has a pull

6.5
1
Johnson to Phillips, 1 run

on the bounce to deep backward square leg, as Johnson again goes short on middle and leg. Too quick for any batter off that length on this seemingly quick pitch
