Feroze Khushi

Academy graduate Feroze Khushi scored a half-century in his second first-class appearance to suggest he could be the latest off the Essex production line. A stylish top-order batter, he backed up that good impression by notching a century on List A debut the following summer, as Essex fell at the semi-final stage of the Royal London Cup. He followed up in 2022 with career-bests in all three formats: 67 off 40 opening the batting in a T20 against Middlesex; 118 at Northampton in the Royal London Cup (one of two hundreds in the campaign); and a maiden first-class century against Kent at Canterbury, which he extended to 164 across five-and-three-quarter hours to set up an innings win.
