A left-arm spinner who made his first-class debut as a 20-year-old, Aron Nijjar grabbed a share of the limelight four years later when drafted into Essex's squad for T20 Finals Day. Despite having only made one previous senior T20 appearance, he ably took on the challenge of deputising for absent overseas player Adam Zampa, claiming figures of 3 for 26 and 0 for 31 as Essex lifted the Blast trophy amid dramatic scenes at Edgbaston.
