2nd ODI, Delhi

India v West Indies, 2014-15

At Delhi, October 11, 2014 (day/night). India won by 48 runs. Toss: India.
For much of their pursuit of 264 West Indies cruised high and happy - they were 170 for two in the 36th over - but then hit turbulence. The last eight tumbled for 45 as India delightedly levelled the series; Smith's run-a-ball 97, a fine innings on a surface where batsmen had to curb their natural instincts, was in vain. Mohammed Shami claimed his second successive, and rather cheaper, fourfor, including the vital wicket of Smith - out for the second match in a row the ball after hitting a six - while leg-spinner Mishra bounced back from expensive figures at Kochi to take two key wickets. India's total owed much to a century stand between Kohli, whose two-hour 62 represented a welcome return to form, and Raina, before a typical late burst from Dhoni.
Man of the Match: Mohammed Shami.
