West Indies v India in West Indies, 2011

Tony Cozier

At North Sound, Antigua, June 13, 2011. West Indies won by 103 runs. Toss: India.

Simmons compiled his sixth half-century in eight innings, but again failed to reach three figures, run out in the 27th over by Tiwary's direct hit from square leg to leave the hosts a shaky 103 for five. They were steadied by Pollard's level-headed 70 off 72 balls, at the trime his highest one-day score against Test-playing opposition; his partnership of 96 with the solid Baugh boosted West Indies to their best total of the series. India never threatened to match it, faltering against varied bowling. Martin's flat, accurate leg-spin earned him career-best figures on his home island, the match award, and the chance to explain: "No one comes here and destroys me on my pitch. I don't care who they are." But the accolade could just as easily have gone to Russell, who followed a belligerent 14-ball innings with three cheap wickets.

Man of the Match: A. Martin.
