First One-Day International

Pakistan v West Indies, 2006

Craig Cozier

At Rawalpindi, December 5, 2006 (day/night). Abandoned.

Persistent rain in the three days leading up to the match left the outfield sodden, and the umpires - Aleem Dar and Daryl Harper - called play off before the scheduled start. The bleak, wintry weather was supplied by a slow-moving cold front that also delayed the start of the Blind Cricket World Cup, which was due to begin around the same time in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. This game completed the four-match ban imposed on Inzamam-ul-Haq for his part in the Oval Test forfeiture.
