West Indies v Australia, Second One-Day International

Cricinfo staff

At Kingston, May 18, 2003. Australia won by eight wickets. Toss: West Indies.

The second match was as one-sided as the first was intriguing. It was effectively decided duringthe opening 90 minutes, when the Australian pace attack levelled the West Indian top order; by the 22nd over they were floundering at 75 for five. From there, 163 all out was a decent recovery. Australia had once been vulnerable chasing small targets, but Ponting's side confirmed this was a thing of the past. Hayden and Ponting, still not fully recovered from the virus that kept him out of the Fourth Test, hit fifties as Australia sauntered home with all but 15 overs unused.

Man of the Match: G. D. McGrath.
