Fifth One-Day International

South Africa v New Zealand, 2000-01

At Durban, November 1 (day/night). South Africa won by six wickets (D/L method). Toss: South Africa.
New Zealand were still coming to terms with an awkward pitch, along with the loss of Twose and Fleming in successive overs, when the rain that delayed the start returned to interrupt and then end their innings. South Africa's revised target was 153 from 32 overs. Kallis, whose earlier dismissal of Twose was his 100th one-day international wicket, anchored their reply with an unbeaten 50 from 81 balls. But it was Klusener, in front of his home crowd, who dashed New Zealand's hope of victory by hitting 41 in 18 balls, including 26 from his last six (4424 off Allott, two sixes off O'Connor).
Man of the Match: J. H. Kallis.
