PAKISTAN v. ENGLAND

At Karachi, March 6, 7, 8. Drawn. Rioting stopped the final match of the tour early on the third day, when Knott needed only four for a first Test century. He had batted three hours, thirty-five minutes and hit one 6 and ten 4's. Milburn, who had joined the side two days before the second Test, played a storming innings to launch England on their high scoring spree. Altogether he hit one 6 and seventeen 4's and reached his 100 off 163 balls in three and a quarter hours. Graveney was more subdued during a stay of almost five hours, during which he hit nine 4's.
