Fourth One-day International

†PAKISTAN v INDIA 1989-90

At Lahore, December 22. Pakistan won by 38 runs. Toss: India. A match shortened by overnight rain and played on a doubtful wicket saw the home team extend their run of success against India in one-day internationals. The slow pace at which the Pakistani front-line batsmen made their runs was justified by the conditions. India were 70 for five by the 22nd over, with Aaqib Javed bowling his out-swingers intelligently after Imran had picked up the first two wickets. Srikkanth was reprieved twice in making the top score of the match, but it was to no avail. India finished well behind.

Man of the Match: Aaqib Javed.
