Sixth One-day International

†INDIA v PAKISTAN 1986-87

At Jamshedpur, March 26. Pakistan won by five wickets. Gavaskar and Prabhakar launched the Indian innings with 154 for the first wicket after Imran had put them in in ideal batting conditions. Prabhakar (thirteen fours), the replacement for Srikkanth, who was injured at Hyderabad, went on to his maiden hundred in a one-day international. Javed Miandad organised Pakistan's reply intelligently after Ijaz Ahmed had provided the thrust with 72 off 84 balls. The Indian bowlers wilted under the onslaught in the closing overs, and when 12 were needed off the final one, Miandad hit Gopal Sharma's first two balls for six.
