†SRI LANKA v PAKISTAN 1985-86

At Kandy, March 2. Pakistan won by eight wickets in a match reduced by rain from 45 to 25 over per side. Pakistan put Sri Lanka to bat and restricted them to 124 by means of tight bowling and a slow over-rate. Ranasinghe's 41, on his first appearance for his country, came off 49 balls, but it needed 16 from Wasim's last over to set a challenging target. However, with Mohsin scoring 59 off 57 balls (one 6, seven 4s) and Mudassar 41 off 50 balls, Pakistan always had overs and wickets in hand.

Man of the Match: Mohsin Khan.
