Wisden
Fifth One-day International

†WEST INDIES v NEW ZEALAND 1984-85

At Bridgetown, April 23. West Indies won by 112 runs, completing a clean sweep in the series with the same one-sidedness of the four previous matches. Haynes continued his remarkable sequence of heavy scoring with another century, his eighth, surviving a return chance to Chatfield when 13 and hitting two 6s and eight 4s in 151 balls to equal Richards's record number of hundreds in one-day internationals. With Gomes he added 184 from 33 overs. New Zealand's batting had little to recommend it to a crowd of 10,000, Rutherford taking 69 balls to make 18.

Man of the Match: D. L. Haynes.
