Wisden
Second One-day International

†INDIA v AUSTRALIA 1984-85

At Trivandrum, October 1. No result. Heavy rain frustrated the Australians after they had been given the responsibility of taking the gospel of cricket to Kerala, the most Christianised part of India. Historically more interested in snake-boat races, soccer, volleyball and athletics, the Keralans saw Vengsarkar reach his 1,000 runs in limited-over internationals. Rackemann was again Australia's most successful bowler on a pitch barely adequate for cricket at this level.
