†AUSTRALIA v PAKISTAN 1983-84

At Brisbane, January 15. No result. Rain interfered with the match until the umpires were obliged to abandon it, each side gaining one point. It twice interrupted Pakistan's innings, and only 3.5 overs were possible when Australia went in needing 185 from 42 overs. Following the bowling of Hogg and Lawson on a lively wicket, Imran described the pitch as terrible for limited-overs cricket and much too green.

Man of the Match: Not awarded. Attendance: 21,689.
