†PAKISTAN v WEST INDIES 1980-81

At Sialkot, December 5. West Indies won by seven wickets. The background to the second one-day international was one of pandemonium, 30,000 tickets having been sold for 12,000 seats. Pakistan, put in, scored only 6 runs off the first five overs before Zaheer Abbas opened up, hitting twelve 4s in his aggressive innings and surviving one chance at 50. Majid Khan was also dropped, twice. West Indies began their reply by plundering 16 runs from the first two overs. Richards earned the Man of the Match award with a dashing 83 (two 6s and eight 4s), while Bacchus"s solid 79 included nine 4s.
