†PAKISTAN v WEST INDIES 1980-81

At Karachi, November 21. West Indies won by four wickets. Holding and Croft restricted Pakistan"s early scoring-rate so effectively that the later batsmen squandered wickets in a desperate chase for runs. Holding, taking a brilliant return catch off Mudassar Nazar, injured his shoulder and did not play again until mid-December. West Indies quickly lost Haynes, but Bacchus and Man of the Match Richards established a winning position, yet West Indies still required Greenidge to score 3 off the last ball of the match. That winning hit caused a recurrence of a slipped disk and he played in only one more match before returning home a month later.
