Hong Kong v Oman

At Fatullah, February 19, 2016 (floodlit). Oman won by five runs. ‡Oman 180-5 (20 overs) (Jatinder Singh 42, Aamer Ali 32*; Nadeem Ahmed 3-27); Hong Kong 175-7 (20 overs) (Babar Hayat 122). T20I debut: V. S. Wategaonkar (Oman).
Babar Hayat dominated Hong Kong's reply: his 60-ball 122, the fourth-highest innings in T20Is, was 107 more than the next best. But his dismissal at long-off from the fourth ball of the last over spelt defeat. With all seven Omani batsmen reaching double figures, teamwork trumped individual excellence. There was controversy when Mark Chapman was Mankaded by Oman's Aamer Kaleem; Hong Kong coach Simon Cook called it a "cowardly act", while headline writers delighted in a case of Oman-kading
