Hamilton Masakadza was run out again, this time crashing into Sibanda, who needed treatment for a cut chin. Sibanda picked out square leg a few minutes later. Scotland kept their grip, yielding a mere 19 in the last three overs, and it needed Williams's halfcentury to lift Zimbabwe towards 150. But in Scotland's opening over, from slow left-armer Wellington Masakadza, Munsey was stumped after reverse-sweeping two fours. Panic ensued: Matt Cross nicked his first delivery, Machan struck two fours then chipped to mid-on and, when Coetzer was snaffled one-handed by Sikandar Raza at cover, it was 20-4. Yet Berrington and Mommsen added 51 and, needing 55 from 35 balls with five wickets in hand, Scotland were hopeful, even after Masakadza collected two more in his final over. Berrington and Josh Davey reduced the equation to 24 off 13, but it was still too much.
