2nd Twenty20 International, Centurion

South Africa v New Zealand, 2015-16

At Centurion, August 16, 2015. New Zealand won by 32 runs. Toss: New Zealand.
New Zealand openers Guptill and Williamson again reached 50 at almost ten an over. This time, though, their companions used the foundation to build a match-winning score against bowlers unable to repeat the spirited comeback of two days earlier. Guptill cover-drove the first ball for four and twice lobbed Leie's leg-breaks back over the bowler's head for six; another disappeared over longon off Abbott. Neesham struck the ball cleanly at the end, though not as explosively as Munro, who hit three fours and a six before falling to his seventh delivery. Chasing 178, South Africa never quite settled and, though they had 75 after ten overs, the top four were gone. Off-spinner McCullum and the rapid Milne had given little away with the new ball; left-armer McClenaghan and leg-spinner Sodhi even less in the middle overs.
Man of the Match: M. J. Guptill. Man of the Series: M. J. Guptill.
