The Trio of Asif,Amir & Butt didnot Fix the entire match.Thr is a diff B/W Spot & Match Fixing.. They have suffered more than enough punishment for their Crime.. They should be given a chance if they deserve to be ability wise in Playing Xi. As these days Pak Team is Lacking Good Swing Opening Bowlers & Proper/Solid Opener.

Dummy4 on August 21, 2015, 15:32 GMT

i agree with Bazid 200 % , and i must say that Amir is good , but he should not be selected from PAK team , please please learn from mistake , please , in Pakistan why the crimes are more because punishments are not given and when given that not like hard , please please don't select them , We forgive these cricketers , we know mistakes happen by humans and they got the punishment too , but now they should not be part of the pak team ,

irfan on August 21, 2015, 7:57 GMT

i heard some senior player against them.. who is senior misbah ? yuonus? these two will go soon i guess few fast bowlers getting worried because both the fast bowlers are real wicket takers..

irfan on August 21, 2015, 7:55 GMT

well they got their punishment now plz let them play cricket

Bazid s/o one of the greatest man ethically and professionally has the same opinion of his father would have. Majid very professional, very honest and dedicated person. I agree with him. The embarrassment that I've faced back in 2010 here in the UK as on of my colleague informed me about this scandal. I was shocked, I was embarrassed, I felt guilty in from of my colleague if I had committed the crime. Now recovered from that shock and the colleagues at work who were aware of it have forgot all about it. Now with their return I would face the same embarrassment. The wound will be reopened. That what I felt and would be feeling on their return. What about the rest of the team? What they will be feeling? Every time they bowl, there will a discussion about it. This stigma will not only attached to them but will also stick to the team. They were mature enough. They knew exactly what they were doing. One can think of Aamir but certainly not Salman who still thinks he is innocent.

Dummy4 on August 20, 2015, 20:23 GMT

I agree with Bazid. I don't buy into this argument about Amir being young, everyone knows the difference between right and wrong. They should be allowed to play domestic cricket since it's their bread and butter and their families are dependent on them but in order to keep the good spirit of the present Pakistan team, it's best to leave them out of the international arena. Besides, we have found a good opener in Shan Masood and our bowlers are also doing well. No doubt however, that I wish I could see both Amir and Asif bowling in tandem once again, what a sight it was!

Muhammad on August 20, 2015, 15:54 GMT

So according to Bazid there is no redemption? I think it is a wrong approach especially when they have served their time. I'd have had similar feeling If justice wasn't served. They are cricketers and for me at least both Amir and Asif are excellent proponents of their art. If they're good enough let them play!

Dummy4 on August 20, 2015, 12:55 GMT

Cricket team is representative and ambassador of the people of a country. The image they gave to Pakistan then and the dis-honor caused by their actions cannot be forgiven. Even though they have served the punishment, they should not be allowed to return to international cricket. They shouldn't share dressing room and dugouts with heroes of the nation. They are a disgrace to Pakistan cricket and fans.

Farooq on August 20, 2015, 7:55 GMT

In civilized world even convicted prisoners, after there prison terms, are rehabilitated and foster their re-integration into society as law abiding citizens. Bazid remarks surprises me. These players have been sufficiently penalized ....... now if they have the competitive edge is still in them and are able to prove the same, I see no reason as to why they should be kept away from the game.

Bobby on August 20, 2015, 7:15 GMT

Bazid Khan definitely not as good as great Majid Khan. The wonderful batsman Majid Khan was! However, Bazid Khan seems to have excellent command and has earned my respect with his comments. Amir, Asif and Butt etc should all be banned for life from International cricket. They sold Pakistan's name. Pakistan has better players than this convicted trio. Great Younis Khan has served Pakistan with a distinction for many years and they have no right to sit with great man. Yes, indeed cricket is their livelihood so agree with Bazid that they can play domestic. If a doctor or lawyer convicts a crime against their profession then they are banned for life and so should happen to these convicts. All this non sense about Amir's talent is not necessary. Does talent mean being forgiven for crimes? Amir pleaded innocence on every TV channel before he realised he was caught red handed and then eventually be came out clean. Its not about winning but what really matters is Pakistan!
