Simply the greatest spinner to have ever played the game, and if he was from one of the Big 3 nations, nobody would even be disputing that.

udendra on September 11, 2014, 5:01 GMT

The greatest spinner ever. How fortunate are we to have seen him bowl.

Greatest Cricketer of all time.... Its that simple....! His record speak volumes......

victoria on September 10, 2014, 15:16 GMT

Murali's record is a great one. He's the best ever. Notwithstanding the distractions, this is indisputable. And, he's not the best just because he took the most wickets via simple quantification resulting from his longevity. He took them across formats, at an unbelievable rate, with quality bowling that was peerless; and which included multiple numbers of match-winning bowling stints for his team, Sri Lanka.

Gaya on September 10, 2014, 11:19 GMT

Legend of spin....real gentleman in the middle..

randolf on September 10, 2014, 11:09 GMT

I think that Muralitheran is the greatest or best (whatever one wants to call it) individual who has ever bowled a ball in international cricket. His record shows that not only has he taken the most wickets in test cricket, but he took them playing less matches than some of his competitors; and at a better average and better strike rate. He was the most dangerous bowler I've ever seen and all his oppositions were FEARFUL OF him!

Anjana on September 10, 2014, 8:15 GMT

Greatest spinner ever! His records are untouchable.

Manoj on September 10, 2014, 7:47 GMT

All time greatest spinner....respect from India.
