For the second time in four years the price of the Almanack increased, with a massive doubling from 2/6 to 5/- (25p to 50p) and there were fewer pages than in the previous edition. Pelham Warner, who led Middlesex to the Championship in his farewell campaign, was the man of the season, and received a glowing tribute from Sydney Pardon, now in his 31st year as editor.
